Movie previews 11/30
Here are the movies that film critic Roger Ebert has reviewed lately: Killing Them Softly, Wuthering Heights, Fat Kid Rules the World, Life of Pi, Hitchcock, Rise of the Guardians, Red Dawn, Scrooge & Marley, and Tales of the Night.
Here’s the preview I have for you this week: Killing Them Softly.
But no one ever said life is fair.
Killing Them Softly has this going for it: It reminds me of the Roberta Flack song and the movie Play Misty for Me. It also has a sterling cast: Brad Pitt, Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini and lotsa others.
But it also has hitmen with the Mob and plenty of killings, two of my least favorite movie topics.
So I’ll skip that and instead look forward to Becoming Santa, the documentary being served up courtesy of the Cinema Falls film series on Sunday at the Icon Lounge.
