Be Still My Heart, SLP version

Actually, my heart almost did stop beating when I read the Cinemark ad in today’s Link.

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting (seriously, since November) for Silver Linings Playbook to come to Sioux Falls. I couldn’t believe it when it didn’t. It got rave reviews, and it had Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence and Robert DeNiro, not exactly obscure stars.

It took last week’s Academy Award nomination to get it here. And I’ve been warned it might be for only a week.

So, old-school me grabbed a Link this morning to plan my SLP experience.

And my heart dropped when I saw the ad. It says this: Century Stadium 14, 10:10 p.m.; Century East at Dawley Farm, 10:30 p.m.

Seriously? Last showings at each theater?

And they think I can stay up late?

Luckily, coworker Angela Tewalt talked me off the ledge. She looked online and the Cinemark website does say that while the movie is only showing at 10:10 p.m. at Century Stadium 14 and Dawley Farm TONIGHT, it does have multiple showings at both theaters starting Friday.

So that’s where I’ll be on Saturday afternoon.

But it makes me appreciate Cinema Falls all the more. And it’s time for buy my Fast Pass for its spring season.
