World Nutella Day
I missed World Nutella Day by one lousy day. It’s been celebrated on Feb. 5 all the way back to 2007. Quite a storied tradition.
I am a fan of Nutella. I have been known to finish off an entire jar without ever once spreading it on toast, just sticking a spoon in the jar, swirling it around and licking it like a lollipop.
HyVee has entered the Nutella marker with its own substitute. It has fewer calories than Nutella but is softer, meaning it doesn’t stay on the spoon quite so tidily.
But as much as I enjoy Nutella, I could never heap it quite so high on bread as shown in this photo. That’s a little too much Nutella, even for me and my sweet tooth.
